Start with HubSpot’s native path
Before you install anything, use what HubSpot already gives you for list hygiene.
Create an active segment, formerly called a list, with filters that match known problems, for example:
- Email hard bounce reason is known
- Unsubscribed contacts
- Missing key fields
- No recent engagement
HubSpot’s own Knowledge Base covers this deliverability hygiene path in detail. Native segments and bulk edit are the right first move for bounce reasons and engagement gaps you can already see in the CRM.
Framing for operators: native tools first; verification apps second.
Where native filters stop
Segments catch known bounce and engagement problems. They do not replace deeper validity checks, such as:
- Invalid syntax
- Disposable patterns
- Catch-all or indeterminate results
- Ongoing validation when new contacts arrive
Exporting contacts to a CSV verifier creates delay, permission risk, and stale data. By the time the file comes back, the CRM may already have new or changed addresses that were not checked.
If your goal is “clean without exporting CSV,” you want results written into HubSpot properties and segments—not a download-upload loop.
HubSpot-native verification without CSV
Marketplace apps can validate inside HubSpot via OAuth and write statuses back to the CRM. That is the path that matches this workflow.
BounceIQ is built for that workflow:
- Install from the HubSpot Marketplace with OAuth
- Continuously validate new or changed contacts
- Write statuses and reason codes into HubSpot properties and dynamic segments
- Contact-tier pricing rather than credit packs
- No CSV export requirement
For property and segment behaviour after install, see the BounceIQ docs.
Other Marketplace apps—including ZeroBounce, Clearout, Kickbox, and Emailable—also avoid pure CSV workflows. Choose based on whether you need continuous CRM validation, form “as you type” gatekeeping, or a credit-based bulk model. BounceIQ’s lane is continuous CRM hygiene inside HubSpot; it is not the only no-export option. For a fuller comparison, read Best HubSpot Email Verification Tools.
Put the workflow together
- Clean what HubSpot can already see with segments and engagement filters.
- Add Marketplace-native verification when you need deeper validity written back as contact properties—without exporting CSV.
- Install BounceIQ from the Marketplace, then confirm properties and segments in the docs.
Keep verification in the CRM and use the results in the workflows your team already runs.
